Together with Gdańsk, Tczew and Wejherowo, Gdynia, as one of 11 European regions, will benefit from the support of Project Development Assistance (PDA) - comprehensive advice on the concept of implementing hydrogen vehicles in urban transport. The application for PDA support was prepared by a consortium of local governments in cooperation with representatives of LOTOS Group, members of the Hydrogen Cluster - a signatory of the Pomeranian Hydrogen Valley.
The initial concept of hydrogen implementation in the Pomeranian region is based on the assumption of using buses powered by hydrogen fuel cells in public transport and on the use of hydrogen produced by LOTOS Group within the PURE H2 project. In the first stage, 10-15 hydrogen powered buses were introduced to the fleet, and in the second stage, another 41 buses in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Tczew and Wejherowo.
