A report on the impact of Covid-19 on the situation in the hydrogen technology industry has been published on the Hydrogen Europe website, which represents the European industry in the hydrogen and fuel cells sector.

The report presents an analysis of needs and justification for quick actions due to the negative impact of Covid-19 on the development of hydrogen technologies. The study highlighted the importance of the hydrogen sector for the EU's efforts to decarbonise, as well as its long-term potential to support sustainable economic growth in the EU. It also describes why the current pandemic will lead to a significant threat to the development of the hydrogen sector if no action is taken.
The report also estimates  the value of financial support needed to maintain a highly qualified workforce and sector investment portfolio.
